Kyle is in north eastern Hays County. Kyle has good road links
as it stands in Interstate 35. Austin is only nineteen miles north of Kyle.
San Marcos is thirty four miles south from Kyle. In 1882 Mr. Fergus Kyle
donated some land to the railroad and the town of Kyle was given his name.
Kyle was incorporated as the city of Kyle in 1928. Today Kyle has an estimated
eighteen thousand residents. Kyle is served by the Hays Consolidated ISD.
Downtown Kyle has a network of cycle paths which link the parks in Kyle
together.
