Sweetwater is the Nolan County seat. Sweetwater has over twelve
thousand residents. Sweetwater schools are served by the Sweetwater ISD.
Each spring Sweetwater hosts the annual rattlesnake roundup. Sweetwater
has been used on many occasions as the backdrop for movie makers. Sweetwater
is home to the West Texas Tech Sweetwater Campus. Sweetwater is the location
of five hundred large wind turbines that provide electricity to Sweetwater
and Texas. Play golf at Sweetwater Country Club or at Lake Sweetwater Golf
Course. The pioneer Museum in downtown Sweetwater has photographs and relics
for past events in Sweetwater heritage. The Sweetwater Auditorium hosts
many annual Sweetwater events and concerts. Sweetwater has many quality
restaurants to explore.
